Civil Design Team, Inc., is a small civil engineering firm located in Pagosa Springs, Colorado.  Our projects include civil engineering design for municipal/government and land development (residential,  commercial, mixed-use) with a strong emphasis on site design.   CDT offers services in planning, roadway design, grading, drainage, water / wastewater utility design.  Civil Design Team's land surveying integrates with and supports our civil engineering and design.

IMMEDIATE POSITION AVAILABLE:  CAD TECHNICIAN - PART TIME 

CDT is accepting applications for a LAND SURVEYOR ,  CIVIL ENGINEER,   CAD TECHNICIAN

GENERAL

Applicants should be fully competent in all conventional aspects of the discipline and the functional tasks of the project, plans and executes work requiring independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.  Devises new approaches to problems encountered.  Performs surveying (field/office), engineering and planning work with responsibility for creative solutions, technical accuracy, articulated descriptions, and distinguished graphic presentations, as appropriate to the project assignment.

LAND SURVEYOR

Responsible for all Survey activities, including:  Client contact, Client development, scheduling, project management,

 topographic field survey, construction field survey, boundary field survey, ILC survey, office note reduction, preparation of CAD drawings and civil base maps.

Applicant should have a minimum of 5 years survey experience with a 2 or 4 year degree in surveying or civil engineering.  Colorado SIT registration is required, PLS registration is preferred.  Local experience is beneficial.

CIVIL ENGINEER

Responsible for all design activities, including:  Client contact, Client development, contract administration and project management,  Has primary responsibility for budget, scheduling, planning, design, and production.  Applies current and diversified knowledge of planning , design, and construction principles and practices in broad areas of assignments.  Works independently and will need to be able to complete all tasks from design and drafting to construction observation for project completion.

CAD TECHNICIAN

• Proficient with Microsoft Office software
• Experience with AutoCAD Land Desktop Development / Civil 3D
• Civil Engineering Technician experience related to Land Development and construction drawings
• Strong written, graphic and verbal skills

Applicants should show qualifications in some or all of the following:

• Land Surveying - Office and Field
  • Robotics, data collection, calculations
• Proficient in CADD application/design using:
  • AutoCAD Land Desktop Development
  • AutoDesk Civil 3D
  • AutoDesk Raster Design
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software
• Experience with other design or graphic software beneficial
• Civil Engineering experience:
 
• Site Planning/Layout/subdivision
• Grading / earthwork (tin models)
• Drainage
• Utility plan-profile
• Water – Wastewater Infrastructure plan-profile
• Roadway plan-profile
• Computer knowledge base
• Development Land Planning / Master Planning
• Strong written, graphic, and verbal skills
